Property Description

We are pleased to present this recently updated and modernised, 3 bedroom townhouse in the popular town of Martos in Jaén Province, Andalucia.  Conveniently located just off the picturesque Plaza Fuente de la Villa with its shops, bars and cafés, this house is ready to move straight into.

You enter into a bright, open-plan lounge diner with stairs to the right, leading up to the first floor.  Straight ahead leads to a modern fitted kitchen with small outside patio/utility area.

On the first floor, you will find two good-sized double bedrooms and a lovely family bathroom.

On the next level, you will find a large room with original wooden ceiling beams, just waiting for new owners to add their own touch.  It would make a great master suite with en-suite or an additional lounge or more bedrooms, many possibilities.  From here you also have access out to the roof terrace with far-reaching views out across the town and to the mountains and countryside beyond.

Whether you're looking for a family home, 'lock up and leave' holiday property or investment opportunity to rent out, this house ticks all the boxes.  All the work has already been done so, being sold partly furnished, all you need to do is unlock the door, leave your suitcases and start enjoying all the Spanish joy this lovely town has to offer.

The town of Martos is located on a western peak of the Sierra Jabalcuz mountain range. It belongs to the metropolitan Area of Jaén, which is considered to be the second most important city after the capital.  The closest airport is Granada which is around 50 minutes away or the larger airport of Malaga is around 1 hour 3/4. Martos is considered to be the greatest producer of olive oil in Spain. The town is situated beneath the Cerro de la Peña, topped with the ruins of the castle of the same name. This compact town spreads out over the slopes of the hill, under the Castle of La Villa and the Church of Santa María.  Its privileged location offers beautiful views over a vast sea of olive trees.  There is a large outdoor market held weekly near the park and several fiesta's are held here throughout the year.  A large outdoor swimming pool is open in the summer and an indoor pool is open all year round.  This is the perfect town for those wishing to experience the true Spanish lifestyle.
